This calculation is wrong.

I mean, you’d have to calculate some other factors in.

First, seeing as there’s only 72 years worth of Hunger Games in wherein there were only 24 contestants and one victor:

72 x 23 = 1656

Now, we add to that the 47 dead tributes (due to the 2nd Quarter Quell) for the 50th Hunger games where Haymitch was included:

1656 + 47 = 1703

Then, add the 22 deaths for the 74th Hunger games, bringing the deathtoll to:

1703 + 22 = 1725

And finally, since the 75th Hunger Games (or Third Quarter Quell), had 6 survivors, we can confirm 16 deaths:

1725 + 16 = 1741

The total death count is 1741 children dead.
